Adam takes the ferry across to Kangaroo Island off South Australia, not just to take in the scenery, but to discover why the food from here is so special. Adam meets Kate Sumner from Kangaroo Island Source to cook up some local abalone. He also meets a man whose family has farmed there for six generations, and prepares a “lamb ham” made with home-cured lamb leg, and flavoured with curry and spices.

Connoisseur Australian Collection

As one of Australia's hottest up-and-coming dessert chefs, Kate was asked by Connoisseur to create an ice cream that uses premium ingredients from the Kangaroo Island region. The Connoisseur Australian Collection turns some of the country’s most delectable regional produce into Connoisseur Ice Cream and Kate has brought the spoils of Kangaroo Island to the fore with her Kangaroo Island Honey with Fig flavour.
The new Connoisseur Australian Collection is truly unique and will be available from 13 September at supermarkets and select independent retailers nationally.
